I took Noah to the doctor yesterday. He is suffering from his first ever ear infection. While it is sad to see him in pain, it's good that his first time is happening now, when he can talk and clearly articulate what he is feeling, how he is feeling and how badly he is feeling it. He woke up Wednesday night screaming in pain and holding his right ear. He told me and James that his ear was hurting and he didn't like it. We brought him to bed with us and tried to calm him down, but Noah was inconsolible. James gave him some Tylenol and Noah finally fell asleep wihen it kicked in.
I took the day off of work so that I can take him to the doctor, who confirmed that Noah has an infection in his right ear. As the doctor was writing out the prescription for Amoxicilin, Noah asked if he could have eye drops. Eye drops? Yeah, we don't know where that came from, but that's what Noah wanted. Eye drops for an ear infection. Go figure.
